In English there are only 26 alphabets, 12 tenses and very straightforward grammar rules, no gendered nouses, no complex case by case verbs etc. Like sure higher level English writing and speaking can get difficult and takes time but conversational English is not hard at all. English also is rich in words, phrases and idioms so there is no need to make long compound words to described something like in german either. Everything is simplified and easu. You can learn it in just a few months even from scratch. Heck even I find it easier to talk in English to explain something than in my own mother tongue because of the words scarcity that exists in my mother tongue. German, Slavic languages, Mandarin, Arabic these are actually difficult languages to learn

I wish I was forced to learn more languages as a kid, I feel it’s so easy to learn when you are little.

English is easy for those who speak languages with shared vocabulary, grammar, alphabet, etc.
For somebody who speaks Mandarin, it's not easy at all.
Depends on what your native languages are or if you know any close to English.

true thats probably why Europeans learn it a lot better then asians and Arabs. And Russians seem to struggle with English more then other europeans as their alphabet is different.

Oddly enough though hispanics in most latin countries dont know any English. Like they cant even do basic greetings in English. I believe it also has a lot to do with the education system .

Meanwhile Singapore philliphines india all with different alphabets and zero relation to English all their zoomers and Gen Z have good English.

true but I'm saying their English is not that good relative to Europe except Spain, which is the worst.

Spanish people do well with English when I went there. It’s Italians that don’t know how to speak it

It's literally the easiest language
All the other languages I tried to learn are more complex

Italians have thick accent, french people too, you can't even understand what they're saying sometimes

I went Italy and only the African and curries could understand me. 80% of the natives when the stacylites I come approached had 0 English speaking skills they couldn’t even respond to “hello” worst country in my life to pick up women. Was funny walking into shops with Curries and Africans who would speak Italian then immediately switch to English once they heard us speak mid convo it was insane how good they were

I hear they are better at it now but still fuck them for that shit experience

I think Africans are the second best at learning languages, most Africans are bilingual cause of the tribes and colonization
Although people from northern and western Europe are good at languages too, the worst at languages are Asians and people from America (north, south), most only know their own languages.

Add algospherr instead of Americans. As a British person I can confidently say we don’t know or even try to learn other languages and I’m sure the same applies to Canada AUS NZ as well. Anglos suck at learning other languages because we don’t GAF. Only a few ppl in Britons even speak Celtic language :lul:

Yeah I agree. It’s only the Muslim Africans that are shit with other languages proving my point that Islams bad for the brain.

And no reciting the suras from the Quran isn’t real modern wrabif and most Muslims don’t even know what those words even mean

Trust me on this I debate those niggas everyday.

Also modern Africans use European languages in day to day life over our own native ones if we live in urban areas to not confuse people not off our ethnicity. Many foreigners from Asia find this confusing wonder why we Africans only speak euro languages but unlike Asia most of Africa was underdeveloped and tribal before colonialism and we were split into millions of ethnicities. And even in the kingdoms such as Ethiopia Asante (Ghana) and others we still had huge diversity

I sometimes struggle to understand both Bri'ish and Murican native speakers unless they talk slowly and loudly 🥹🥹

Interesting maybe its just the boomers pulling the average down. Why do you think Italy is so low
