I don't think most people are actually afraid of COVID tbh

In the media where I live there is 24/7 fear propaganda in the news yet most people in real life don't seem to give a shit. Most use masks to virtue signal or because they have to do so, but otherwise nobody seems very afraid at all. Sometimes at the store I don't even bothe putting my mask on right away, and nobody seems to even care. Inside resutarunts lots of people don't bother with masks once they have sat down.

Jfl most people are just going along with this bullshit because they don't have any other choice. I don't think the average person is actually legit afraid of the covid, save for the infrequent fearful idiot.

Yeah its true where i live as well. The average person obviously is not worried. They order food from restaurants where everyone sits with their mask off, they never “socially distance”. One time I went in the grocery store and I realized when I left I forgot to put my mask on. But nobody even mentioned it even though theres a huge sign on the door “BY LAW MASKS ARE REQUIRED”. It seems people intuitively understand that there is no risk unless youre an 80 year old

I think many people are just scared of standing out, so everyone wears masks and stuff because other people tell them to. I see normies always calling for authoritarian measures to enforce distancing and preventive measures, as if this was the Black Plague. In my opinion, people are much more serious about Covid and distancing/lockdown than they seemed last year. It’s weird in my opinion, seeing how low the death rate is and how it has mostly affected the economy very negatively, people losing jobs, friends, etc.. people act as if it is this deadly plague, even worse than last year. People are shrieking about covid much more now than before
