Well I can explain my reasoning. I'm glad you respect religions however, and considering your pfp atleast you probably believe in nature or stay true to something unlike a lot of whiny man children in here.

My reasoning for why I believe in God first of all is because the world must either have a beginning or it must have always been here. If it has always been here, it is infintie, with no beggining nor end, that is God. That is why buddhists for example believe the universe is God, they believe the universe is infinite, has always been here, is ever expanding, and will never end, and we should be grateful and happy to be cogwheel in God, and some often claim that you are God. This is where you get the schizo posts of people saying that "You are God!".

However if you believe the universe has a beginning like I do, then that means at one point there was nothing, but nothing can't start from nothing, meaning that something infinite or someone infinite, who is outside of this universe and isnt confined by it, started it. There could only be one of him or it. That concludes there to being one God. The oldest book to say there was this one God was Genesis. The old testament boils down to the coming of the Messiah, which Christ fufills.

Aditionally I got to Christianity as I see no solid proof of the world being billions of years old, the fact that we are acting so sure of it, and give such ridiculous theories mainstream traction even going as far as faking dinosaur bones, it makes me realise the story of Genesis is literal and real.

Yeah I don't know but I don't subscribe to idea of infinite universe mainly because if your a part of God you technically are God often. And I think the intilligent design is too obvious, I think we were designed by a creator. Whicever way you look at it, if you subscribe the idea to a massive universe with a bunch of planets, and we are the only living conscious ones, it seems like we must have been picked by God, and if you don't believe in that and believe in the firmament, then earth is the center of the universe and that means that God specifically made the universe for us. Whichever way you look at it. All this talk about aliens too is sensationalism and is there to drive you away from God or to fill the pockets of NASA to create public interest in their funding.

The man made religions require low IQ to believe them but I think the simulation theory is the most legit theory. It gives us a hint by letting us be able to date the universe. We have to take it on trust that life can evolve in other places since it did here and you get so many earth like planets that are 2-3x older than our own so you have to imagine civilisations developing AI in that timeframe and once you get to superhuman conscious AI, you can run these simulations. Reading every thought that every single person is having right now across the planet would be childs play for that kind of AI. People don't get how powerful it would be. So I'd believe that the sim theory is the most legit before any other theory.
