I don't understand this fact about tretinoin.

While most beauty and rejuvenating creams aim to hidratate, increase collagen production and plump up the skin, tretinoin works by increasing collagen while completely drying out the skin. How could this be possible? I mean, if you had to choose just between one of them, you wouldn't be able to pick tretinoin because you also need a moisturizer to go with it or else your skin Will turn worse.

Whats the difference between retin a and tretinoin?

I tried retin a once and it didnt work well

So there are a few questions here all rolled into one.

Kind of. The dryness is mostly a side effect and not necessarily the main point. A lot of the dryness can also be put down to irritation- when skin gets irritated, it gets dry.

You wouldn't pick one though. Thats the point.
As absolute basics you should be using a cleanser, moisturiser and SPF to maintain skin health. Everything else is extra (unless prescribed by a doctor).

Tretinoin is the name of the drug, Retin A is a brand of tretinoin.
Think Tylenol and acetaminophen/paracetamol.

Do you think Dove soap could be a good alternative for a cleanser, or could you recommend me one?

Another thing please. I'm currently using Cerave moisturising cream for dry/very dry skin. Is great for the day because Is light and non greasy, but I feel that for the night I could use something maybe heavier, stronger. Would you suggest one night cream, or maybe the one I'm using Is enough? Thank You!

I don't like Dove soap. I know a lot of dermatologists recommend it but its just way too drying in my opinion.

If you feel like you could use something heavier on an evening then you're probably right.
Possibly Weleda Skin Food?

does anyone have a site to buy legit tretinoin that ships to Germany?

more than a year? :feelswow: don't have time for that shit
Why not? The time is going to pass anyway. You might as well do something useful for your skin in the mean time.

You feel it's too drying? Wow. To be honest all My life I've only used harsh soaps for My face, I've never tried a cleanser. This Is why this dove soap feels so gentle to me. But if You Say there are gentler options then I'm sure as hell gonna try them. Care to suggest a few good cleansers?

Also, that weleda cream looks awesome. It says it's even good for extremely dry areas like elbows, knees and others. I Will definitely use it. Thank You very much.

Maybe La Roche Posay Toleriane Dermo Cleanser? Or CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser?

And no worries man. Be aware though, it's thick.

Yeah I'm only gonna use it at night. Specially on My forehead because since using tretinoin daily I've developed a rash there that doesn't go away. I used to use corticosteroid creams when I got these things since Is common for me because I have psoriasis and/or eczema, but since learning of the side effects I want to avoid using it anymore on My face, specially because I have used it most of My life without caution.

I'll Buy one of those cleansers. Thank You.

Yeah if you've got psoriasis/eczema, tretinoin can really do a number on your skin.
Let me know if you have any other questions or issues, hope it works out for you.
