originally I wanted to title this thread "Im too comfortable being alone"

I have these scenarios play out in my head when I come up to people chat and I guess how a conversation (even a deep one) will play out and I guess it right 90% of the time, it kind of defeats the purpose of any interaction.

I played in a band in high school and was relatively popular, girls would complement my voice but now I just cant be bothered to pretend to be anyone but myself
my best friend arranged all my connections for me which I ride to this day (get jobs, invites to parties etc) but I can't be bothered to do it on my own.
