I think it will sell well because the hype will be too powerful. And it's not like people typically grow out of playing video games, so those who grew up with previous installments will certainly show up for this one. But given Bethesda's recent track record and inflated expectations, it's probably going to disappoint people considerably.

It's mainly just too expensive now. And it's gotten way too popular at the expense of creative integrity. There's still some good stuff coming out, and one can always play old games, but yeah, I'm pretty done with gaming at this point. It is a good time-killer when needed, though.

it leads me to believe they just stumbled a bit and will recover, the biggest flaw with bethesda is them trying to appeal to the average gamer with obnoxious quest markers and linear quests

with the success of kingdom come deliverance 2 i hope studios will see lack of linear instructions works in appeal to the masses

bethesda excels at making nonlinear rpgs as shown by morrowind, oblivon, FO3 and i trust that theyll get back on track soon
