You don't even need to read the material

Just do your practice papers a few times and keep your memory of key notes fresh directly before the exam.

Is that how it is in the US? I follow the UK system you can write a letter expressing to want to further studies at home and then only attend for the final standardised test ( whether it be IGCSE's or SAT's or whatever local programme )
