I originally applied to do basic administrative tasks and was told I got the job when I went in for the interview. But today, I got a call asking if I’d be interested in a more advanced role that involves Excel and some kind of programming language, since it better matches the qualifications on my resume. I told the guy no, but like an idiot, I tried to sound smart and ended up asking a dumb question while the guy was explaining the role to me. Anyway, I hope it all went well.

He wanted me to take that other position because my degree and resume were relevant to it. I majored in Economics and had listed a few programming projects I worked on. It kind of makes sense, I don’t know, maybe I could’ve done the other role. But I just wanted to play it safe and took the less skilled role since this would be my first job ever, and I just want to get a feel for what it’s like to work in general.

Eh, I could always move up to a more advanced position once I feel comfortable. I don’t know. The thing about me is, I’m really freaking lazy. I was a NEET for four years, after all, and I’ve never worked a day in my life.
