I failed twice before, actually. It is a hassle and it's pretty easy to fall into the trap of giving up. Especially since it's taxing mentally and financially but it's essential in moments like that to keep standing and keep moving.

I don't know how you got by without a car, to be honest. Imagine having a girlfriend, who asks you to pick her up and you have to take public transport. I couldn't live with that. Having no car means less freedom to be where you want to be.
Even here in the Netherlands where public transport is top-notch compared to other countries, it's still nice to have a car if I want to go somewhere impulsively rather than relying on a bus.

it doesn't matter my gf lives 500 kms away from me i go to her place and she comes to mine 2 times a month. i go to work by bus. i always stay active and fit by walking. and eventually if something goes wrong with her girls still have the car. even with tinder hook ups it was never a problem
