So for context, I'm in BC, Canada. I had this retarded idea of breaking into a construction site at night on a fucking Monday and climbing a crane, and I convinced my friend (he's an international student from Italy) to come do it with me.
We fucked around for a little bit and there were still like three workers on site even though it was 10 PM, he wanted to leave but I kept saying that we weren't gonna leave until we heard sirens because I'm not a high inhib pussy. So anyways, we start climbing the crane, and at some point during our ascent the workers saw and us called the police. We didn't stay at the top for too long, took a few fire pics and started descending.
Midway down, three men started yelling at us to get down. I panicked a little bit but thought they were just workers that were going to kick us out (we didn't know the cops had been called), but as we get down I look and realize IT'S THE FUCKING RCMP (CANADA'S FEDERAL POLICE).
The two of us get placed under arrest and handcuffed, and we get taken to separate squad cars. The officer searches me and takes my shit, I had my phone, airpods and keys. He kept asking me a fuck ton of questions, I was scared as shit but I was able to lock in and keep my cool. He asked me how old I was, my name, phone number, etc (I didn't have my ID on me). The officer wanted to call my parents but I told them they were on vacation so he took my phone and called my older brother instead.
Then he told me it was my "lucky day" and I wasn't going to get charged because I was a minor. (That was a huge relief because I thought I'd have to go to court and get a lawyer), and then he drives me to my brother's house (I'm still handcuffed and in the back of the cop car)
We get to my brother's house, the cop takes the handcuffs off and says I'm getting let off with a warning but if I get caught doing that shit again then I'm not just going to get a slap on the wrist. My brother is absolutely livid but I don't give a shit, I'm just happy my parents aren't going to know.
Now backstory out of the way, I decide to skip school for the week but I get a call from my friend saying that his host parents (look up what that is you don't know) told the school everything that happened, including my name. Initially I was pissed off because I thought he ratted me out, but apparently the cops told his host parents my name too. Now, since he's an international student and isn't a resident of Canada, if he has any police interactions then that breaks the terms of whatever international student agency he's a part of, and he gets sent back to his home country.
THIS FAG IS LITERALLY GETTING KICKED OUT OF THE COUNTRY BECAUSE I CONVINCED HIM TO CLIMB A CRANE. He had a meeting with some of the staff at my school and I think he told them the whole story and how it's my fault because I "pressured" him to do it (I didn't force anyone to do anything, he could've backed out literally any second, I didn't hold him at gunpoint), since I've been skipping school these past few days I haven't had to face anything there yet, but I've been extremely fucking anxious and worried that the second I get to school I'm just going to get absolutely fucked and they'll tell my parents (my biggest fear). I'll try to bullshit my way out of it but the school knows I was there with him and they know I was also detained. Since I'm from here they can't deport me or kick me out of the school, or anything. I just want to do whatever is necessary to make sure MY PARENTS AREN'T FUCKING CONTACTED BECAUSE MY ASS IS GOING TO GET FISTED IF THEY FIND OUT.
My friend's parents paid a shit ton of money for him to be here, and he was such a likeable and great guy. I will probably hold on to the guilt of being responsible for his deportation for the rest of my life, I can't imagine having to go back to the shithole that is Italy after experiencing what it's like to live here. This is probably the stupidest shit I've done and the worst mistake of my life, hope to God I don't ever have a bigger fuck up. I'm consumed with regret, I didn't want any of this to happen, I just wanted to have fun and a cheap thrill with my friend. Now he's getting kicked out of Canada. It's genuinely fucking surreal.
I guess I can't keep skipping forever, I'll have to go and face the consequences. They're nothing compared to what he's going through anyway. Hope some people can learn from this, your retarded ideas don't just affect you.
