Crystallized iq? I mean general intelligence.Acquired knowledge/learned information has nothing to do with IQ which is the innate ability to rationalize and solve problems
I'm not sure to what extent reading those books can help, it might be that one thing would lead to another and your brain will improve in certain areas due to being engaged in complex issues but if you want to try getting smarter from reading books you're probably better of reading philosophy or something that isn't objective informationCrystallized iq? Would reading these books atleast provide me with some intelligence benefit.you don't need a lot of general knowledge to be competitive. vast majority of people are ignorant and hold low detail/quality knowledge
no. read wikipedia articles and watch youtube videos instead. books are a legacy mode of storing and transfering knowledge. it is inferiorWould reading these books atleast provide me with some intelligence benefit.
I recall that some studies showed that reading consistently over a long period of time increased white matter density and working memory abilities (which is a trait correlated with the g factor and an important component of most iq tests such as WAIS-IV).Acquired knowledge/learned information has nothing to do with IQ which is the innate ability to rationalize and solve problems
Intelligence applied to irrelevant topics won't get you anythingWould reading these books atleast provide me with some intelligence benefit.
