no, this post is not a joke nor am i larping. i want to relate an interesting experiment i did on my hands which resulted in them growing larger. believe in this if you like, call if cope if u will either way it was jfl and hasn't benefit'd me other than funsies and motivation.
Basically i smashed my finger phalanges with a wrench (on all sides balanced'ly) in a low impact but high volume manner, making sure to avoid blood vessels or tendons. afterwards i did exercises like shaking/gyrating my hands and arms repeatedly, as well as using a massage gun to vibrate each of my individual fingers.
i also did stuff like pullups and climbing trees regularly.
this experiment was conducted for laughs and over a month. here are my results (measured from palm crease to tip of middle finger):
left hand: 198mm to ~201mm
right hand: 196mm to ~198.5mm
Measurements were done under similar controlled conditions (basically same amount of stretching beforehand, similar hand posture etc...)
so yeah. this means wolffs law for extending long bones may work...? no solid proof but anecdotally sound
I'll be continuing this experiment and also try bonesmashing my forearms and humerus to try and increase wingspan. results may be posted later.
