Made this post in case anyone was wondering how femto-lasik feels like

That shit fucking hurts, there are two stages stage 1 is preparing the eye, stage 2 is the actual laser

Stage 1: my eyes were dry before I came in so as soon as they put in some eye drops my eyes stung like a bitch, the worst part is the stinging didn’t go away it persisted for the entirety of the procedure (the procedure took only 15 minutes from start to finish)

And then after I positioned myself under the laser machine, they started putting on the suction ring for my eyes, tha fucker felt like someone was squeezing my eye till it was about to explode, that was the most memorable part of stage 1

Stage 2: was way less painful than stage one, they cut a flap into my eye that didn’t really feel that bad because of the numbing drop they put in during stage 1, but the whole intercation just felt weird, I wasn’t moving my eye but it was moving by itself, that was the scariest part. After that the actual laser started beaming down, I didn’t feel anything at all, but the smell was unique I don’t know how to express what it smelt like

The worse part is having to do the pre op and laser on both of my eyes, having to do it twice is the hardest part imo, because your just sitting there helplessly

After I was done they sent me on my way with 3 eye drops, and that was it for the procedure

The first 2 hours after the procedure didn’t fee that bad, only felt mild stinging,The 2 hours following the first two were the hardest and most painful hours of my life, I put in the eyedrops but the sensation never faded it just kept getting worse and worse, I put my head down to sleep but I don’t remember how and when I slept. Only thing I know is I woke up a while later with dried tears on my face

After that things have been smooth sailing, I can see now and the pain is very mild compared to before, I have a slight bleeding in my left eye but that is most likely from the suction ring, I have an appointment tomorrow and after that I should be set for a while

Just raw dog it, if you can go through this experience without using any sort of pan killer you can probably do anything

It’s been a week since the surgery, as I always say time heals all wounds, I don’t feel any sort of pain whatsoever, I actually feel good

Edit: also more people have been glancing and staring at me as they walk by, total boost in confidence, worth it af

My glasses were making my eyes look smaller and weirder therefore ruining my harmony and by far my best feature

Now that my glasses are gone my eyes are on full display, its nice
