You're debating someone and they do a small chuckle after they speak.

It's as if they feel their point is so crushingly obvious that the mere fact you are trying to argue against it is absurd.

In reality, it's a coping mechanism. They are trying to seem more self assured, because sub consciously they know they're completely wrong.
