even if i deepen it, it still has the same sound. It's completely genetics and nothing can change it. Like the sound you get from an acoustic guitar, changing the strings won't change it, better strings only improve sound quality but each guitar has its own unique sound. I'd have to completely remodel my throat, change it's diameter, add fat to certain areas etc. It's over if you didn't have a good voice from birth.

I used to have a very deep, manly voice after puberty but after several respiratory tract infections three years ago it became permanently hoarse, brittle and thus high-pitched.

What I noticed though is after talking for several hours (e.g. with a friend or my mother) my throat seems to "open up" and my voice returns to a MUCH deeper vibrating tone. It doesn't stay like that unfortunately. So I talk as little as possible and am just the silent guy now. It is what it is.
