I can say the same for my homeland hungary but in all honesty. we did alright and we are doing much better than other EU countries regarding geo politics and stability. We have america, russia, israel and china backing us.

Hungary has been one of the most supportive if not the most supportive country during the israel hamas war, you can see the seating voting in the EU which country voted for the death of hamas lmao. That and a lot of jews moved to budapest.

Hungary and Russia always had an interesting relationship but a mostly positive one in the past few years, likewise with china as well.
So we are doing much better and we could survive without nato but the money is good.
