Ok, maybe, but how rare is it to have the drive and the work ethic as someone born into wealth?

its possible to build a solid career with a rich income, but it requires lots of effort and usually has to be paired with luck (while commendable, the 6 fig salary engineer was most likely born into a suburban family which could afford him a lifestyle that allowed him to fare academically well off)

and even that you can only climb so high, past self made millionaires (very rare already) tough luck faring further without having connections.

But they don't actually "work", they just use their parents' money to do the work for them...For example in my country there are tons of influencers/youtubers who appeared out of nowhere and became huge, but almost all of them are rich, their parents are businessmen, politicians, powerful people, etc.
They act like they are regular people, who started from scratch, filming videos in their basement and worked their ass hard to become big online, but in reality they've used the parents money to hire experts and media companies that do everything for them - write scripts for their clips, film and edit them, post them online and promote them, etc.
Some of these people might not even make their money back, they brag about how they became rich from youtube, while in reality they might pour more of their parents' money to produce and promote those clips, than they actually make profit from them, but they can afford it and it gives them fame and status.

because they don't actually risk anything with their massive safety net. very few trust fund kids build their businesses legitimately. most of it is just nepotism, and bribery. and why wouldn't they resort to that if they can afford to?
