I have a nephew that's become obsessed with looksmaxxing

I have a nephew who is 16 (I'm 35 for reference) and he has recently gotten into looksmaxxing. I'm not sure if I should be encouraging him or trying to stop him at this point. On the one hand, it seems par for the course for any young man to dedicate himself to improving his looks in our digitized era. On the other, it leads to anomie and feelings of worthlessness.
