just write things down
like if im learning something new i have trouble remembering what it was, so i write down on paper and notepad, for example i write down x was g and y was u
over time with repetition i dont need visual aids anymore as i gain muscle memory
like i tried to program a watch but always kept forgetting what button x and what button y were doing, so i wrote it down and now before i press the button i can look up what it will do
i can also even take pictures, videos or record audio or write down
even if u dont have a bad short term memory these strategies reduce the cognitive load, so u will expend less effort/energy and even save time
its like a workaround for my memory limits
this really helps me do hard things more efficiently and easily and faster
