I have been into mewing for a while, and I have seen good improvements in my maxilla, from completely flat cheekbones to decent projection. My problem has always been that it was focused on the maxilla, all the exercises like thumb pulling and tongue chewing turned out pretty effective for me, I have some trouble with my mandible. Even though I did see a decent decrease in my overbite, its not quite as long as I want it to be, even though mastic gum helped me to get larger masseters. So I have some ideas for bringing the mandible forward with the maxilla, please be kind and tell me your candid opinions and the resining behind it:
1. Simple pulling
Thumb pulling of the maxilla has worked for me and lots of others, so why shouldn't it be working for the mandible? Could I see results by simply using my index finger and my thumb to regularly pull my jaw forward?
2. binding your jaw
Just taking a belt or something, and tying the mandible up to the head, like a scarf but stronger. Dr. Mew has a device which looks kind of similar, do you think constant pressure could improve the mandibular angle and bring a general upswing to your face?
3. pushing it forward regularly
this is the one I dislike the most, someone once told me by regularly pressing your jaw forward, the resting position would be further forward, too. Whats your take on this?
4. pushing the ramus
the little space between the end of your mandible and the ear, called rams, could help you when you push it forward regularly. Remember, constant pressure can change bones.
5. keep working on the maxilla
A doctor told me if I keep working on the maxilla, the mandible will come forward with it after some time
Please tell me honest opinions
