Does this make sense? I have good FORWARD growth but not good UPWARDS growth. It should be easier for me to fix this than it is to fix a maxilla that is greatly lacking in forward projection. Anyone else have this?

You either have forward growth and width or downward growth.

i think its the same for me i have a good forward growth but a slight downward growth

The closest I could find is the pic on the top right of this woman after surgically assisted rapid palate expansion:
Gr2

As you can see she still has a longish face even though she has good facial projection. It just grew down instead of up. Its not like this,

which needs to go forward.
I'm just going to cope with chin tucking and keeping my teeth together 24/7.

I think they're both recessed chief.

I don't think you can have forward growth with out upwards growth both are connected.

Yep I had exactly this. My forward growth was pretty ok to begin with, but I wanted upwards growth, cause this is the "secret sauce" of a fantastic face. Upwards growth is also what makes the face shorter and more rectangular, which looks better than oval. Also its the upwards growth that gives better projected cheek bones and zygoma. Upwards is the fucking key, forwards is nowhere near as important (unless hardcore recessed) as upwards.

I achieved nice results with hardcoremewing. But I positioned my tongue like 2-3cm behind front teeth and pushed with imbecile force upwards 24/7. What it did for me was- my nose tip that was sagging before, isnt sagging anymore, cheeckbones got more prominent and zygoma too. Face looks shorter now. But you need to be very careful with hardcoremewing, better read alot on mewing forums and ask high iq boardies how to do it right (forum is called "a great work" or something like that).

I already posted this in another thread, a yoga trainer Julia Jarvis (has YT channel etc.) has slightly recessed maxilla, but she has great upwards growth and because of that, I think she still looks pretty damn good. When I saw her, I realized that upwards growth is crucial.

Yeah, I posted something on that forum way back when,. I've experienced change myself. My mistake was I was concerned more with applying outwards force instead of upward.

Yeah, I posted something on that forum way back when,. I've experienced change myself. My mistake was I was concerned more with applying outwards force instead of upward.

I can tell you exactly how I started hardcoremewing, I concentrated at upwards growth right from the start. Ive seen some morphs in Lookism etc. of some Beckies become Giga Beckies after more upwards projecting maxilla.

At first my tongue barely had any space at the roof of the mouth. So I wanted to avoid any forwards movement at all cost and avoid pushing teeth in front, so I started pushing with inhuman force, mostly with front 1/3rd of the tongue in the area 2-3 cm behind the teeth.

And Ive seen some ppl mention, that if they do hardcoremewing, their tongue gets tired after like 15 mins and they feel too much pain at the roof the mouth.

Well they probably didnt do it optimally. If you just deattach the tongue, sorta like float the whole tongue upwards and push, hardmewing wont work like that, the tongue will indeed get tired. What I did was, I sort of let the middle of the tongue and the back 1/3rd of the tongue on the bottom of the mouth and used only the 1/3rd front area of the tongue to push (initially). For better imagination, 2/3rd of the tongue where on bottom and pressing slightly into bottom jaw and pressing really hard into roof of the mouth with front area.

I also felt numb pain many times, but i still didnt stop hardmewing. The result was that Ive created like a "dome" right under the area where the nose holes are (initially). It pushed the tip of my nose upwards, before it was slightly sunken in, afterwards it got straight. I prolly lifted that area by like 1-1,5 cm, it created hollowness sounds when I touch the face in certain areas.

After a while I started applying more force with the 2/3 back side of the tongue and less with the front, to lift that area a bit higher too. The maxilla area around backside 2/3rd of the tongue is what lifts+forward projects your cheekbones and zygoma.

i have a question about a theory I’ve made, for your undereyes does it look full/not hollow but your undereye support regarding how much scelera show you have isn’t the best?
