Thats brutal. From my research your maternal uncle is usually the best indicator of balding genes although as with everything it varies.

Notice how despite your granpa having good hair your uncle still went bald because of the genes he got from his mothers side. Same thing happened to my dad going bald with his dad having thick hair still because his mother Carried the Gene.

The reason your maternal uncle is a decent sign is vecause he has the closest genetics to what your mother has.
