hm certain things can get flagged up on systems. for example if you continuously search about dead bodies how long they take to rot how to totally get rid of them it isn’t a good idea. if you aren’t doing anything sketchy you should be fine if you are then you could be being watched.

i guess use different emails for everything use virtual machines use vpn on host system different passwords use crypto monero is best use temporary numbers harden your browser don’t use aliases associated with anything irl for bad stuff also harden your operating system (debloat windows and stop as much data being sent back to microsoft as possible. MICROSOFT is spying on you) -also some people will get a computer just for hacking. everybody are being tracked in tons of different ways. i recommend watching mental outlaw luke smith really mainstream computer youtubers

lots of different ways. everything i said doesn’t mean you won’t be caught by feds. every time you make any account like just anything social media email etc the ip being used is logged. government have tools which can get lots of info out of even just ip addresses. a terrorist could use a vpn but feds could contact vpn company this has happened lots before. they could track them based on at what times they’re using the internet their habits. it really isn’t too special but there’s something called osint. osint stands for open source intelligence it’s the fancy way of saying freely available info basically. the average persons social media accounts are filled with osint. there’s things called osint tools. if you have someone’s full legal name or their phone number etc you could do a background check with some of these tools. you can reverse image search different pictures as well. it’s just about tons of information all coming together most criminals eventually get caught oh and also you reading this can purchase osint tools if you want (csint exists as well
closed source) all i’m saying is gov have more advanced tools
