I used to go abroad basically every year, but haven't left the UK since 2019

For what? Holidays are just short expensive breaks you have to wageslave harder to afford. When I was a kid it made sense to go with my parents for free, but I wouldn't really wanna do that now

I mean experiencing nature is great. But you can do that anywhere. Doesn't have to be some picture perfect place

I don't need to visit somewhere when I could just go in the garden or the local nature area

exactly, I love hiking but I dont need to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars to do that

or as you said, I can just go into my garden and make it more beautiful, that's vacation and I have that every day

Never understood why some people invest most of their income into a 1-2 week yearly vacation where they only enjoy themselves temporarily. Meanwhile anyone would be better off even just buying stuff they want.
