I heard that if you want to have a perfect v-shape body, don't do squats nor deadlifts.

I already have good height and have a very good frame, I just want to know whether this is a meme or not.

Serious answer - no. As far as it making your waist bigger, u do realise it takes an enormous amount of work to visibly add thickness to your waist through training? meaning if you only squat 500 you won't have a big waist unless ur fat. plus the lat width from the deadlift will more than offset any (tiny) increase in waist size anyway.

Yes big legs makes your lower body to upper body ratio high

lat width from deadlifting what??

besides that i don’t do deadlifts anymore its a meme exercise if you want to go for the aesthetic look pull ups and rows 24/7 are the way to go.
And it is True your waist will grow on deadlifts but i think this only applies at a really high weight.
