If a landwhale talks to you, bring up your "girlfriend" even if you don't have one. From my experience of 4+ years working with these pigs, it is the easiest way to reject them.

I also make little jokes about their eating habits. Just a day or so ago I told a landwhale "thats a big lunch" when she had lots of food on her plate. But thats more risky and awkward. Would not suggest it for everyone. At this point, I am at the ph.d stage of rejecting/insulting landwhales, so I know what works and what does not.

I could stay that bringing up your "girlfriend" (regardless of if you have one or not) is the gold standard of rejecting landwhales.
