He hung himself and was live streaming it and was smiling at the camera with a big wide smile. I don’t know if he was on drugs or was just genuinely happy. It happened in an instant. It hurt seeing another man die like that. This is fucking with me especially since I’m also brown.
During the video, it hit me how brutal and savage this life and world is. Billions of people have died for no reason due to physical disease. Many others have died due to mental afflictions. Many people even if they live long, will spend their entire life to suffer. Only a few enjoy their life fully, and why? Because many simply got dealt with a lucky hand, whereas the other 99 or whatever % didn’t.
The reality is that many of us will also suffer. Many of us will continue to suffer until death, even though to some poor man in Africa, just our existence in the West is heaven to them. The worst part is there might not be a purpose to all this either. Just really think about it. We’re a bunch of carbon forms living on a rock amongst hundreds of millions of rocks in a universe that is gigantic and can’t even be comprehended all for the potential purpose of....nothing. Although I guess no purpose would still be better than some religion being true and putting you into hell for eternity. Imagine that...
