Was hanging out with some french tourists on a trek (chad, chadlite-ish, MTN guys), and we stop for a smoke. The chadlite one just asks me "hey BV, we are just curious, where are you from in India", I told him a region called Punjab, spoke something among them in french, then the MTN one asks "does everyone look more white like you in Punjab?", I was a bit taken aback but said a bit nonchalantly and to change the topic "sometimes to an extent yeah, maybe because closer to persian region, actually I am quite brown, there are even people who look almost as white as you guys", the chad one then said "that's so crazy bro, I was just telling my friends, I thought you might be from afghanistan when I first saw you, makes more sense now", then was discussing phenotypes and shit, and one of the guys mentioned he had some Nafri influences and I told other how one could be classified even in Levant (JFL) and that he had quite a large skull and I even showed them the pics of the composites that @justinzayn posts on my phone to engage in discussions on it.
