you feel pain because you want to make money without effort (which is impossible unless helped by someone else or taking advantage of others which is morally wrong). it's the same way how making homework is painful, but it needs to be done to get results.

if you have a passion for something or are good at something it won't be as painful. elon musk has a passion for technology and being influencial so of course he will enjoy every step towards getting to that goal.

the only way to not feel the pain you describe is to have intrinsic motivation (improve yourself, change the world around you, help others etc) instead of extrinsic motivation (money, success, power etc). you need to be actually interested/passionate about the work you do to become succesful and not feel like a slave.
