Love the haircut, it was a good move. Don't know why you would want to hide your ears and forehead btw, they look fine. You could put a tiny bit of wax or other product on your hair just to give it a bit of texture and stop it lying completely flat.

A couple of other tweaks:

I'd trim the stache a tiny bit shorter, it doesn't really match the beard right now, it's too like a handlebar, and hangs over your top lip.

You could also get a bit of professional eyebrow grooming done to widen the gap between the eyebrows a bit to open up your features, also because your eyebrows look kind of less bushy in the middles anyway. But keep it looking natural, not too 'done'.

Practice smiling in the mirror - you look worried!
