State job is not wagie, that's a "sinecure" - a cushy job with little work and plenty of benefits, in my country you need connections or to pay a good bribe to get such a sweet job, there are here plenty of state institutions that don't really do nothing and were simply created to provide a salary and some "work experience" to the kids of politicians, businessmen and other influential persons...

Fr niggas act like working is hell but I did an internship as a software engineer and it was great. Ppl were drinking soda and playing smash bros ultimate in their free time and getting paid a fuck ton of money. They had chefs too that cooked amazing food. I'd probably just steal all their food if I worked there and save money not cooking anything.I can't wait to do that and hopefully work from home.

Public administration jobs are based af. My dream is to get in to one. Working for the state or town is the best, no one is going to overwork you hard because no one cares about the profits because this is a public domain and the main purpose of it is to serve the public and not to make profit like in the private sector. In private sector you will have a piece of shit asshole boss whose only wish is to squeeze as much work out of you, enslave you and make as much money from you as he can and he is ready to fire you at any given moment.

Good healthcare, decent pay, fuck loads of free time, not that much of work.

Can't relate. I have a really stressfull job that requires disillusioned tier iq.
(tasks creating for competitive programming tournaments). Want to end it all after another day at work even though the pay is great for my country.

yes its nice, for me its definitely the best decision. my biggest dream would have been to work as a diplomat but sadly my language skills were too limited.

however ofc its a compromise. if i was legit high iq + driven id have chosen another field maybe like investment banking, medical school (imagine working as a doctor on a cruise ship fucin lol) etc with a lot of prestige and money.

or maybe working as coder from bali (not sure if that is possible for computer scientist or rather something priviledged white female „coders“ do)

buuuut in the end we all need to ask outself how high the percentage is of the people who will make a legit „career“ compared to those who will burn themself out for an middle management position (if even). i decided i will never burn out
