Regarding the First part of the post, the question — well, losing is generally associated with some sort of harm to ur body, which when we look at from an evolutionary pov, is a negative trait since we always want to spread our genes and stay healthy and unvulnerable.

Therefore most people associate it with being an unfavorable trait
