simple, no bs loot pool
fast matches, best way to practice, even better than creative due to respawns with actual loot/ammo/matt economy
no cars, no wacky vehicles
not strictly hard either, on and off I can hit plat with zero effort, unreal if I sweat a lil.

and the best part is when your bumfuck normie friends want to play regular br/no builds you legit destroy lobbies even as being a bottom frag/average player on reload ranked

true, i’ve playing been og for half of the season, but ive gotten a lot of wins and did all the og shit and i’m bored now, i miss when fortnite season felt fresh

it’s not even that, i miss old mechanics and the style of the game and how it felt

it got obsolete. old school BRs like Pubg and H1Z1 died exactly due to being more slow paced and tactical. with games like apex and warzone on the rise fortnite also had to speed itself up to catch on, so we got tactical sprint, mantle, turbo building etc.

true, i’ve playing been og for half of the season, but ive gotten a lot of wins and did all the og shit and i’m bored now, i miss when fortnite season felt fresh

if it was true og, the mode would be good.

but its not, it follows modern storm dynamics, movement etc, which makes it rather boring.

not to mention, due to it being so botched, lobbies are always filled with bots. you rarely see actual players until the final circles.

they shoudlve just done a true OG mode, with ue4 mechanics. no running, no turbo building. itd be clunky at first, but thats the gimmick of it.

yeah from my experience anything other than base BR or reload ranked is essentially dead. sub 100k concurrent players, always bot lobbies.

i just dont like it, it feels so empty and bland and easy, even with movement items its still... meh. id rather play apex atp.

they are just noobs too afraid to learn the game, not everyone will be a master builder sure, but with simple edit even a mediocre player and can at least defend themselves, hunker down or play around sweats, especially with a decent squad.
