I need saving. (braces/class 2 elastics)

for some background, I’m already sorta fucked. Before I learnt about .org, I got braces and had 4 pre molar extractions for crowding. Due to an overbite, not yet confirmed but I will likely be getting class 2 elastics. What can I do. are there any alternatives that won’t fuck me up.

I can't see the image imgur never works for me. If you ever want to consider jaw surgery in the future u will need to go through braces again for decompensation to basically give yourself an overbite JFL.

Since you have 4 extractions there's probably no benefit in quitting the orthodontic treatment rn - stopping now would make your bite worse. If there was to be a change in ur side profile from the treatment it would probably be due to less lip support. It's the most malleable bone in the body anyway so don't worry about it like some fear monger on here.

I too had 2 premolars extracted but now I'm planning jaw surgery so it aint over if you had some teeth taken out just get jaw surgery when you have enough money/time.

Just remember you will basically be cooked until you have jaw surgery since the extraction/retraction mechanism (deepening the curve of spee) will mean you spend longer in decompensation.

Not sure I haven't studied the effects of elastics on the face, all i know is there will be less lip support on the upper lip which affects foids more than does men. If anything it would be subtle.

no clue I'll have to see what the doc says. I'm guessing trimax but I'm primarily fixing my class 2 the aesthetics is a great bonus. When i do my consultation I'll start documenting my journey here and on tiktok.
