Is it because of the cholesterol? Many studies have proven that eating dietary cholesterol doesn’t increase you’re cholesterol

Is it because of the saturated fat? Then eating cheese or butter would be way more harmful

And if it’s because of saturated fat, why does eating cheese result in lower all cause mortality?

@noodlelover I think you have to look at the context of the studies more, people who don’t eat red meat because they think it’s bad, are a lot more health conscious about their life

I don’t eating red meat is a problem at all for longevity

It's cause of the cholesterol that could potentially harm ex-vegans,
although even that is only generated when cooking with other oils or butter.

Wdym by this?
ex-vegans are naturally not fit to consume what any other could,
therefore their cholesterol tolerance being low, it could harm them.
Cooking red meat with oils or butter means the cholesterol levels increase further too.

The problem is red meat is expensive and often produced in less than ideal way. It takes a lot of resources to produce beef for example so they generally use a ton of chemicals to prevent diseases, accelerate growth etc which is what causes those problems with red meat in first place

Red meat is only bad because of saturated fats but that is because they are put on artificial diet of corn and soy. Vension for example has none of these cons because they live in wild, are much leaner than cattle and eat a varied diet.

Not all saturated fats are the same. Dairy contain a different mix of saturated fats compared to red meat. I might be wrong but iirc dairy fats have fatty acids like butyric acid and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) which have shown to have health benefits that is different from the long chain amino acids found in red meat.

Ground beef has nitrates and saturated fats too. Just buy natural cuts of red meats from quality sources and you will be fine. Everything in moderation.

I see

Saturated fat in meat contains 16 or more carbon atoms, while cheese contains 14 or less

Paid off studies saying red meat is bad so big pharmas can profit off of their statins. There is not a single cause and effect study showing that red meat/ cholesterol will clog your arteries and give you a heart attack. Only garbage association studies that lack proof.

Not related to red meat only, but I heard high protein diets can age you by spiking mTOR which causes oxidative stress. Also seen some say that l-carnitine causes cancer but I don't fully buy that.
Def worth it to keep eating red meat though, very nutrient dense. Also beef is the best tasting out of all meats imo, much more palatable than chicken.

So does a high carb diet
So in theory a high fat diet would be the best for anti aging ?
Correct me if I’m wrong, I don’t know much about this specific topic.

No one knows why cheese is healthy and not red meat, but the theories I've come across is that it may be that the specific types of fatty acids in cheese don't lead to arterial plaque.

And if it’s because of saturated fat, why does eating cheese result in lower all cause mortality?
Different kind of saturated fat in cheese.

Yes, some of the studies control for all the other variables. They control for "healthy user bias".

I'm still researching this topic myself, I think that low protein would damage collagen, as certain amino acids are needed for collagen production. Low carbs also has been shown to increase cortisol, which would age you. Lots of conflicting ideas lol

A balanced diet is the best. Anything in excess is bad. Too little carbs you will feel low energy and weak all the time, too little protein muscle decay, too little fats hormonal imbalances and poor brain function. Too little vegetables, miss out of vital minerals and nutrients and will fall ill all thr time. Eat everything in moderation is the best diet. Humans were meant to have a diverse diet. We are omnivores

Yes, high fat diets are best for anti-aging,
they make you eat in less volumes without even realizing.
Over-consuming proteins and carbs are the worst.

Ray peat talked about balancing muscle meat with collagen

I think to balance out leucine and glutamine, as muscle meat is high in leucine which is what causes mTOR signaling

You don't even know what you are talking. Fats are the easiest to over consume on calories. One small portion of butter is like 400 calories and it won't even fill you up. Protein is the best for satiety. It is niggas like you with half knowledge that spread all rumours and myths.
