I ran an expirement on my mother

Following this thread in which I explained how women work, I saw a perfect opportunity to test my mother

I told my mother to put on fox news, so we can have a laugh at those awful Republicans
(I'm a secret republican, they'd kick me out of the house if they knew I voted for Donald)

But honestly I've grown more liberal since last election

Anyway we were talking about immigration, (I always just give her my own takes while pretending they aren't mine )

And I eventually asked, "if hypothetically immigration was 100% no longer beneficial to the US and had become a detriment, would you shut it down"

She said "that would just never happen though it's always good for the US"

"Mother it's a hypothetical, just answer"

She says no, she would keep allowing immigration

I then explained to her that the Republicans rightfully have an issue with this liberal disposition, I eventually explained it was OBJECTIVELY negative in this scenario and finally managed to make her agree

Then I further showed her the error, and explained that liberals literally order their priorities as follows when pushed:

1. Being nice and inclusive
2. The actual state of the country

When I phrased it like this she couldn't deny it was ridiculous what she just did, and that no other country acts like this,

I told her there are many things which make America, America, the history, the freedoms, the right to bear arms, ect, and immigration was important but shoveling in Somalis is not what makes the country great.

I think it's mostly good but I prefer only Mexicans come in because they are hard working and make good food

I dont really think it's currently a detriment, I'd prefer if they legalized all immigrants and shut down any further immigrants, they'd save a lot more money and spare themselves this bad press

This term has soiled the republican party so badly it may take a decade to recover, I feel thst Donald may be a secret liberal Jewish puppet and this is the ultimate long con to turn America blue

Im not sure about the situation all too well in america, but in the uk its gotten so bad.

Which is why i find it so absurd when people who i know that are leftist say they “dont care about it”

I dont mind polish people for example immigrating because they actually work hard (and also many of them are going back to poland now anyways)
