As usual I had gone for a run. My missus wanted to join so she woke up early and tagged along. We started off casually talking and pacing lightly but 15 minutes in her gas tank ran out and told me to go ahead said I was too fast for her.
Fair enough. I'd been eating out a lot these past few days and was bloated, so I decided to push harder and do a 15 km instead of my usual 10 Headphones in rhythm locked , full flow state I was running like it was a marathon just zoned out completely.
Around 6 km in I saw this tiny snail crossing the road, heading straight toward heavy traffic so I stopped, picked it up, and placed it safely on the other side where it seemed to be going.
But by then my rhythm was gone. So instead of trying to force it back. I just walked over to a nearby patch of grass, sat down and did nothing. For like 15-30 minutes I just sat there looking around, touching grass, feeling the breeze, listening to the chirping of the birds NO music, no running goals just stillness. It was very relaxing and peaceful but just then my phone started buzzing. It was TickTick reminding me all the days reminders. So I got up and walked back.
On a side note. I need to change my shoes man. They are completely busted. I only use two shoes. One for marathon running that nike one with steel plates. Use it very rarely because they are like $300 and then this for evrything else. My daily running shoes and my general sports shoes. I usually use them until there's holes but they are getting nasty. I need to get rid of these shoes ASAP. Adizero SL2 btw. Great shoes for daily running but for marathons I suggest something better
