I still can't figure out what causes an elongated and downturned medial canthus

I asked chatgbt and he told me that Gandy has that medial canthus shape because of his excellent maxillary projection, which isn't true since he's slightly recessed.

Vito Basso also doesn't have good forward facial growth, yet his canthus is directed downward. Why?

Could the nasal bone have a greater influence? @thecel

I don't know how much the soft tissues or ligaments can influence it, maybe you're right and it's not a bone issue

You can litterally cut your medial canthus, I don’t think the bones play a big role in that. Except if your some completely deformed retard

i know the method but what happens if you cut the canthus more in one eye than in the other, it would look asymmetrical af

Definitely a lot to do with the nasal area Arabs always have an elongated canthus Asians always have a shit one

yeah ofcourse it would like asymmetrical if you cut one further than the other. just gotta watch out ig, i wouldnt recommend it tho

Ok, I figured it out after a while it's the lacrimal bone look how it's positioned right next to the soft tissues and ligaments of the canthus, i need more shape or bone density of this bone

orbital shape, specifically the lacrimal bone, and lacrimal sac position determines it's angle. for example my lacrimal bone is really high set so thus pushes the caruncle up and creates a shitty neutral tilted medial canthus. Ideally you want it to be low set so the canthus downturns like Gandy's.
length is determined by orbital width, overall caruncle size, and punctum length.
