I talked to a girl for the first time

(I'm 17) There was a girl I liked a few days ago and I wanted to talk to her. I told my friend to be eith me when we see her so he can help me go talk to her. We saw her, she was alone, it was a perfect opportunity and he told me to go talk to her now. I hesitated for a second but went to talk to her. I did it pretty badly (talked too quietly and looked at the floor a lot) but it wasn't scary. I got rejected btw (rejection isn't nearly as bad as guys say it is). The fear is there before I approached her and it disappeared then. I was slightly nervous but now it's much easier, I have done it once already. My advice to people here is to lower their inhibitions and instead of DM-ing girls or jestering, just go up to them like a guy who was balls and talk, make it obvious you like them romantically and ask them out right there and exchange Instagrams. I was very high inhib 2–3 weeks ago and made this progress, inhibition isn't fully genetic.
