During my childhood my mom was very sick, her autoimmune system attacked her body and she was predicted to be bound in a wheelchair at around the age of 35, she was also pregnant during some bad parts of her condition with me and my middle brother. At this time she was a vegan and had almost deadly anemia without knowing the cause, she never left her bed and slept all day. My dad was working constantly and I barely got to see him, all of this was going on from the age of 2 to 9 years old. I barely had a true role model/father figure or mother to take care of me and only relied on my immature and young brothers to take care of me.
All of the doctors just fed her bullshit lies about her condition and said it was just "Arthritis". Later we all moved to a bigger city and her new doctor actually did multiple tests without overlooking it, she had a virus in her system that made her immune system attack all parts of her body which resulted in huge bumps and swelling in joints and hands. What helped her the most was a diet change of mostly fat, red meats, dairy and no gluten, the doctor helped her with many of her issues overtime resolving most of them.
She is healthy now but my adolescence learning period was almost over. I still had a missing piece of me that was never filled. The rafters of my mind were already built and in place, ever since this period all I have ever wanted and seeked for was validation and someone to take care of me despite me being grown lol. Your childhood is genuinely one of the most important parts of your development and shapes you as a person. If you had a good upbringing with real role models and parental figures being present you should be grateful.
