I think my friend has schizophrenia/ pychology people GTFIH

He went into detail about how he has been seeing entities since 15 years old, he claims other people like him exist and that some of his family is just like him he says he can see dead people, intrude on ones thoughts and that entities are talking to him and watching him, he says that most of the time he must ignore them but when he doesn't they either do bad things or good things. What is this? Is he insane? He is very normal outside of this and doesn't show any signs of being crazy. I don't know what to do

Then i dont know if u can even really trust a psychiatrist i heard they put u in the ward for the slightest symptom but i dont know if it was regarding this cus ive seen schizophrenics literally diagnosed and walk free in society so the best bet is to get it checked

It will be hard, but you need to convince him OR his parents to visit a psychologist, and make sure it’s a psychologist not a therapist. Therapists aren’t trained for that stuff

I think the difference between schizophrenia or hallucinations is weather or not you act on them. Like I had a classmate who admitted he hears voices but he knows they are not real so he pays no attention to them. Schizophrenia would be acting upon those voices.

Please try to help him. When I was around 13 there was an incident with my dad's cousin. My dad's cousin lived in Jordan prior to this incident and had been sent to America by his parents because of marijuina usage and "misbehavior", this was the worst thing they could have done. Once he came to America he started using much harder drugs and it was found out that he had skitso. In America he became addicted to meth, cut his tongue and arm off, made threats to the president resulting in the secret service coming to our house, and now he is living in the streets in and out of jail for public exploitation and assault. So please don't make a bad decision like his parents did and get him help or it will spiral out of control.
