My landlord is away in a different country so I deal with his son to pay my rent
He came to the house one day just to check something then he began asking what I do for work so I told him I make my money online and he kept asking questions so I told him I make youtube videos. He asked me my channel name and I told him
The next day he texts me asking me to remind him what the name of the channel was so I told him jfl
The next time I meet to pay him the rent we have a small discussion about it and he says it's interesting how there's an audience for such a niche thing on youtube (my channel is dedicated to one particular sport so not exactly that hard to believe but anyway)
A couple of days later he calls me to say that his parents need to know 6 weeks in advance about whether I will be extending my stay rather than 4 weeks in advance like it had been before.
He then says "maybe you call me within the next 2 weeks and you say to me that you have an internship lined up and you will be staying for a few more months"
I was groggy since I was woken by the call but I was almost certain that's what he said
JFL at him creating a hypothetical scenario as an example of why I would extend my stay as if it was in anyway necessary, but better yet implying that I would look for an internship because doing what I am currently doing is not adequate in his eyes .
He gives off the impression of being this super enthusiastic, trustworthy guy yet he's thought about what I do for a living long enough that he had to take a subtle shot at me
