I used to cope.
“I have a nice personality.”
“She’s just not my type.”
“Maybe it’s confidence I’m lacking.”
Nah.
It was my face.
The truth hit me like a freight train when I saw a candid photo someone tagged me in. I looked like the background character in someone else’s story. The kind of guy whose name you forget even if he’s in your class for three semesters. That’s when it clicked: Lookism is real. And it doesn’t care how nice, smart, or funny you are
So I snapped. I said fuck it
If life’s a video game, I’m going to mod my character
I started the grind
• Grew out my hunter eyes by quitting phone scrolling and taping at night
• Skincare routine? Nailed it. My face shines like a Greek bust now
• Hit the gym religiously. Not for health. For aesthetics
• Got a new haircut that adds symmetry. It’s basic geometry, boys
• Practiced my smirk until I could charm a mirror
But here’s the thing—looksmaxxing isn’t just about changing how others see you. It’s about how you see yourself
I went from NPC energy to main character mindset. People look at me now. Girls linger. Guys nod with respect. Not because I became someone else… but because I finally became the version of me that the world refuses to ignore
So yeah, I took lookism personally. And I’m making it regret ever sleeping on me
Moral of the story?
Stop coping. Start sculpting
Because in this world, your face is your passport
Make sure it gets you into every room you want to enter
