Other ethnic groups in india are different, but even then there is overlap between phenos, I know a light skinned Kerela guy and I thought she was a northie for the longest time. And I know of darker skinned very south indian looking pakistanis too albiet these aren't common cases.

Correction: Indic Pakistanis and Northwest Indians are the same. After all Panjabis are the majority ethnic group in Pakistan and there’s a considerable amount of Panjabis in India. There’s also Sindhis in Pakistan but also a considerable amount but a lot less so than Panjabis. I can still differentiate between a Marathi which is technically Northwest Indian to. Same thing with Gujarati etc.

Right, I mention them specifically since people often forget about those groups in Pakistan. Mumbai is basically a mixture of different ethnic groups, that’s why they look different. For instance there’s a lot of Panjabis in New Delhi as well. Yes, Marathis have a different look. Not necessarily Hispanic looking on average but definitely that girl. I had an Indian Panjabi classmate who also looked Latina. Sadly she left so I couldn’t ask her where she’s from. I only assume she was Indian Panjabi because her name was very Sikh-tier.
Yeah it’s very diverse but the other groups get dwarfed by the Indic population. Pakistani is just a nationality, similar to Brazilian and American.
