I am a 15 year old kid trying to improve aesthetics, but when I discovered mewing I did not know that I had to have my molars gently rest with each other. The whole entire time I was having my front incisors lightly touch the back of my top incisors, but I was not making a full bite. I wasted nearly a year . No CCW growth, but wider palate and no more TMD. Mewing works. You just have to do it 100% correctly for the best results.
