When approaching depending on the context/scenario you need a different opener. Don't approach on streets, I did that before and while in my case it ended up good and the girl was very happy and interested, it's because I look high trust af.

So how I like to approach is usually, I ask questions and ramble.

When I approached the girl on the street, I noticed she had a nice pair of vans. So I asked her "excuse me, those vans are nice. Where did you get them?"

And so she was super happy about to tell me she actually got them custom and drew herself. And so then we started talking about art and other shit, to gauge interest you should ramble and drop "bait" things like "Oh I saw a similar pair of shoes like that when I was in italy" and then if she is interested in you, she'll ask shit like "oh when did you go italy" etc.

Just do that at first and become comfortable with holding a convo and speaking to people.

Street is worst place to approach, approach in indoor areas like bookshops.

You see cute girl in bookshop, you want to slowly come to her. Start looking at books which are near her, and read them. Then peer over and ask her what she is reading, ask her about the book and then share some info about yourself.
