Easier to lie about the motive (or lack thereof) and overall reactions/circumstances at the time. He was instead recorded saying he wants to kill them beforehand then seconds after running him over seeing him on the floor, he showed zero remorse on his face and said he hopes he’s dead.

The guy looked white to me and he wasn’t brandishing a gun or knife, he had his phone in his hand. So the self defense argument might not hold up, I could see a prosecutor having a very easy time with this case.
