This is legit

In 1963 we had an iceskating competition across 11 cities in the netherlands

But it was extremely cold, 18 below 0

10000 entered but only 69 made it before the deadline, lot of people got injured, temporary blindness due to eyes freezing

The winner, first guy to cross the finish line had extremely small eyes

Other guys that won also have very small eyes

It's an evolutionary trait. People from tropical countries have very big eyes. Look at Arabs
