Title.

I was reading some old brahminboss threads and remembered his obsession with thyroid hormones, and I wonder if any knowledgeable user here has any experience with t3 and/or t4.

Also additionally what are thoughts on t3 monotherapy, t4 monotherapy or t3 and t4 combination?

Never used either but I was under the impression that t3 was always catabolic to an extent, in proportion to the metabolic effects. Meaning essentially if you dose low, you’ll get minimal metabolic benefits and minimal catabolism, while high doses will result in high met and cat. Although you can of course limit the catabolism to perhaps negligible levels based on androgens, calories etc, although I’m not certain on this

50mcg of t3 will speed up your metabolism, but unfortunately will also have some catabolic effects to it. T4 doesnt really affect anything and it's just the passive state of T3 essentially, 25mcg of T3 is the "standard" dose that would be your body's base metabolic rate.

ngl you couldve chat gpted this shit man

yea t4 usually wont affect your metabolism and/or bring in catabolic effects

t4 is like your body's "backup" t3 in a way because t4 gets converted to t3 where it then can actually be used. Now when it comes to the conversion and all that im not too sure i think its converted at times your body if deficient in t3 (I THINK)

Would the catabolic effects be offset if anabolic steroids are being used?

I'm sure it would be offset somewhat, but unless ur running some pretty anabolic shit like tren or 1g+ of test i dont think u should expect to gain a good muscle while using a high dose of t3 (50mcgs+).

look into other bodybuilding forums they talk about this a whole lot there

Do you think it’s more beneficial to use t4 and t3 together or just t3?

obviously it would be more beneficial to dose both at the same time, i think ur your produces a base of 80-100mcgs of t4 a day, but if u cant dose both then just make sure you dose t3 because that's the one actually affecting your thyroid, hence affecting ur metabolism.
