Like the very fact they have to state that they THINK it means you're not generally good looking. If you actually were it would be obvious and they wouldn't have to say they think you are like it's a personal opinion. Also pay attention to their voice tone when they say it like that, they won't sound like they're flirting with you at all, it sounds more like a mother complimenting a son and they even sound uncertain, like they know it's not a general opinion.
